I was born in Lanarkshire and attended Glasgow School of Art between 1968-1971 where I specialised in Art & Design: Embroidery and Weaving. I then taught Art in Secondary Schools for two years before moving to the Scottish Borders where I developed a career in adult education and public health.
After retiral in 2010 I have spent time redeveloping my drawing and painting skills through art classes at Edinburgh University short courses and Edinburgh Drawing School. The current period of self-isolation afforded an opportunity to develop a new range of work.
